Editorial Policy

This page explains how content on TiredOrSick.com is researched, written, edited, sourced, and kept up to date. Articles are researched and edited by the TiredOrSick.com Editorial Team under the direction of Dewan Md Enamul Hassan, Founder & Editor.

How topics are chosen

We cover fatigue and tiredness broadly: sleep, nutrition, mental health, medical conditions, life stages, medication effects, and the symptoms that commonly accompany low energy. Topics are chosen based on how often people search for them and how much practical, source-backed guidance we can add.

How articles are researched and written

Each article is built around publicly available guidance from recognized government and public health authorities, sequenced consistently as USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. We link directly to the primary source pages so readers can verify the underlying guidance themselves rather than taking our summary on faith.

When sources disagree

Health guidance is not always identical across countries. When major health authorities differ — for example, on a specific threshold, screening recommendation, or first-line self-care step — the article identifies that difference rather than presenting a single source as universally correct. Where guidance genuinely varies, we say so.

Editing and quality checks

Every article follows a consistent structure (key takeaways, symptoms, causes, self-care, when to seek care, FAQs, and references) so information is easy to scan and compare across articles. Before publishing, articles are checked for internal consistency, working reference links, and clear, plain-language explanations.

Updates and review cycle

Articles display a "Last reviewed" date and an estimated "Next review" date. We revisit articles when guidance from a cited authority changes, when a reader flags an issue, or at least once a year. See our Medical Review Policy for more detail on what review means on this site, and our Corrections Policy for how we handle reported errors.

Independence from advertising

This site may display advertising, but advertising placement does not influence which topics we cover or what an article concludes. We do not accept payment to recommend a specific product, supplement, clinic, or provider.

AI-assisted drafting

Some drafting and editing on this site is AI-assisted. See our How We Use AI page for full transparency on what that means in practice.
