What AI does on this site

AI tools may assist with drafting, organizing, or editing article text. This can include producing a first draft from source material, suggesting structure, or helping check consistency across a large number of articles.

What stays under human control

• All published content goes through our editorial process, described in our Editorial Policy, before it is published or updated.
• Every factual claim is expected to trace back to a cited, verifiable source — see our Sources page and each article's reference list.
• Medical framing, safety warnings, and when-to-seek-care guidance are reviewed for accuracy and caution, not generated and left unchecked.

What AI does not do

AI does not replace evidence, does not invent sources, and does not provide professional medical guidance. It is a drafting and editing aid, not a substitute for the sourcing and review process described in our Medical Review Policy. If you ever spot content that seems inconsistent with a cited source, please use our Corrections Policy to flag it.
